Flavor is my love language
Hey there, gorgeous! I'm Darius Montgomery, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and I've been throwing down in the kitchen since I was tall enough to see over my grandmother's stove. She taught me that food isn't just about eating — it's about gathering, celebrating, healing, and showing love.
I trained at Johnson & Wales, staged in New Orleans and Charleston, and then said "baby, it's time to do my own thing." My style? Southern soul meets global inspiration. I pull from Cajun, Caribbean, West African, and Asian flavors because good food has no borders.
When I'm not in the kitchen, you can find me at the farmers market arguing about which peaches are best (freestone, obviously), thrifting for vintage cast iron, or dancing in my kitchen to Beyoncé while something incredible simmers on the stove. Lately I've also been teaching myself options trading — yes, honey, your boy is learning about calls and puts! It takes up way more of my time than I expected, but I love a good challenge. Who says a chef can't read a chart? My dream is to become a supertrader so I can give back to my community and promote Black culture — building generational wealth one trade at a time, honey!
